Following on from the cross border confrontation in June, tensions in the Bieszczady region are escalating. Despite protracted negotiations, both the EU Coalition and the Federation of Eastern European States are preparing for a military solution to the ownership of the region, with the US being dragged into providing more support on the side of the Federation.
In early September, the Federation decide to send in an elite Spetznaz pathfinder force to establish a base complete with a mortar battery, ahead of the main forces who will deploy once the area is considered secure.
In response the Coalition parachute in elements of SAS and KSK to interrupt this operation before the Federation can gain a strong foothold. These special forces will also help pave the way for a larger Coalition force to establish themselves in the area. If successful the Coalition will to deploy an electronic eavesdropping station.
Neither side is prepared to tolerate the presence of the other. To further confuse the situation, the Russian Mafia are known to be using the area for the trafficking of drugs across the border. They have no interest in who owns the area as long as their business is not interrupted. It is also rumoured that they may have access to an old Soviet Era nuclear device which they might sell to the highest bidder...

EU Coalitian forces - 100 places Uniforms: Only DPM (woodland) and Flecktarn SAS /KSK
Dropped at night in small groups, your task is to act as pathfinders for the main Coalition force. You will need to evade the enemy because if you are caught you will be held until the following day. If you can link up you may be able to stop the deployment of the enemy artillery.
Main forces
You will need to establish your main forward operating base, and escort the convoy bringing in the SIGINT station. Prepare to be attacked by the Federation forces and to locate and destroy their centre of operations in return. Politically it would also be advantageous to stop the flow of drugs across the border as well.
Federation of Eastern European States / US Force - 100 places
Uniforms: Any except UK DPM (woodland) and Flecktarn Spetznaz
Infiltrating the area as night falls, carrying all that you require, your mission is to secure a base and hunt down enemy forces. You will also act as a spearhead for the mortar battery to be deployed at dawn, before linking up with the main forces due the next day. Can you also capture the SAS?
Main forces Your task is to dominate the area, defending your ground and destroying any attempt by the enemy to establish themselves in the area. The Spetnaz can tell you where , together you can achieve the how! There is also the matter of the rogue nuclear device in the hands of civilians...
